William Butler Simpson, born 1798, was an artist who founded the firm in 1833 built up the business during his lifetime before passing away in 1882. The firm initially traded from 456 West Strand, opposite the Grand Hotel, continues to flourish with the traditions of the company, trading successfully and carrying out all types of commercial work in memory of William Butler Simpson.
W.B. Simpson & Sons (Midlands) Ltd were TTA Award finalists in 2016 and 2019, and won a TTA Award in 2014, 2019, 2000, 2022 and 2023, as well as winning Highly Commended in 2022.
