Recent training with the Lighthouse Charity has boosted TTA mental health ambassadors’ ability to provide confidential support and signpost resources.
After first appointing Stephen Wagstaff as a mental health ambassador, TTA has grown the scheme to include several more industry representatives. The result is that the ambassadors cover more diverse sectors and experiences, helping to provide support to the whole of the tiling industry. Recent training has better equipped these ambassadors with knowledge of the free, confidential resources the Lighthouse Charity provides to seek support.
TTA’s mental health ambassadors are available to contact from the details listed on TTA’s Wellbeing Support page. They include:
- Isa Celik
- Stuart Gillson
- Michael Gough
- Adrian O’Clements
- Martin Pouncey
- Margaret Reid
- Stephen Wagstaff
- Gary Walsh
This dedicated mental health and wellbeing support page also includes more information about Lighthouse, the only charity that provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families.
International Men’s Day held on Tuesday 19th November, served as another vital reminder to promote discussions and actions that support men’s physical and mental health, encourage positive role models, and advocate for a more inclusive society. TTA would like to acknowledge this message as well as stress that anyone can reach out to a TTA mental health ambassador and be entitled to the support provided by Lighthouse.
The Tile Association would like to thank the generosity of its mental health ambassadors for the crucial assistance they voluntarily provide.
